SCHOOLS

A lot of our work is with Schools throughout New Zealand.
We have several hundred worm farms installed in Schools throughout Auckland.
A talk to the children is part of the process in setting up a worm farm. Some of the worm farms come in kitset form and the Children assist us in the construction.
Many Schools sell the worm tea produced by these farms and make good money to help finance things like School Camps.
The big plus being that all those food scraps have a place to go rather than sending it to landfill.
Many Schools now have vegetable gardens and the nutrients produced by the worm farms can be applied to the gardens at no cost.

PROJECTS

One of the jobs we do at WormsRus is to assist businesses in solving the problem of disposing of food waste. This may be the local Cafe trying to find a way of disposing of their coffee grounds or a large salad food manufacturing plant trying to dispose of approximately 12 tons of salad waste per week. We are currently working with one such unit which if successful , all that waste will be converted to worm food and consumed by the worms on site. The valuable nutrients produced by the worms will be returned to the growers to fertilise their crops.

Photos below show some of that waste which the worms will deal to.
